WASHINGTON, DC, 3 November 2020 – The results are in. And the worst place to be a child is in one of Africa’s post-conflict or fragile countries.
By the World Bank count, that means over two dozen African countries.

The list includes:
In each of these countries, more than 40 percent of children live in extremely poor households, compared to nearly 15 percent of children in other countries, according to a recent World Bank study.
