Two other people were killed in the nearby village of Kainama, a spokesperson for the army of DR Congo told reporters.
The Congolese army says the group has stepped up revenge attacks on civilians since the army launched a major offensive against the group 18 months ago.
The ADF was launched as an Islamist movement in Uganda from where it deployed into eastern DR Congo.
The army spokesperson in Kinshasa said the group has not launched attacks in the area for several years.
