KINSHASA, 16 November 2020 – Rhumba queen Tshala Muana has been arrested in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), news sources confirmed Monday.

Media outlets based in Kinshasa confirmed late afternoon that she had been arrested around noon local time.

Reporters and entertainment watchers suspect that she was probably napped over the lyrics of her recently released song, titled “Ingratitude”.

In the song, the 62-year-old star lambasts a person whom she does not name for having been spoilt with every privilege in life but who did not remember that one good turn deserves another once he got to power.

Music lovers believe that the unnamed person in “Ingratitude” is DR Congo’s President Felix Tshisekedi.

Tshala Muana, who is very close to the family of former president Joseph Kabila, has never confirmed that she is singing about Tshisekedi.
