VICTORIA, 25 January 2021 – India has shipped COVID-19 vaccines as donations to Seychelles and Mauritius, in Africa, as well as to Myammar.
Seychelles on Friday received the 50,000 doses of Covishield vaccines, manufactured by the Serum Institute of Indaia.
All India Radio reported Monday that Mauritius also received 1,000 doses of the same vaccine delivered in a number considered sufficient bto inoculate health workers, doctors and other front-line medical staff.
The consignment of vaccines from India to Myammar numbers 1.5 million doses, All India Radio reported.
Seychelles previously received 50,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from China.
