ABUJA, 11 JULY 2018 – Nigeria’s ruling All-Progress Congress (APC) has fractured.
A group of APC politicians held a press conference Friday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital to announce that they had formed a new faction called the Reformed-All Progress Congress (A-APC).
The newly-announced faction is led by Buba Galadima, a former ally of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.
President Buhari will be seeking a second term in the 2019 general elections and observers believe that the split may severely hurt the chances of the incumbent winning a second term.
